MaFlo

Lamenting at the shore side as I gazed at the sailing ship.
Broken, trying to comprehend the reality that to a land of no return was the trip.
A rude awakening to the tearing of my script and a brutal squashing of fellowship.
A lost sheep wounded by a sting of death stripping me of a lifetime relationship.

A sherperd anchored in your faith and unapologetic when you preach.
So fierce that the fire continues to burn even though you now sleep.
A crown of faithfulness I know you will reap.
In your new home I know you have citizenship, while down here we miss your companionship.

Yearning for an eternal connection with us, the truth you never hid.
For our souls you prayed, at times to a point that you would even weep.
Even when weak, the love was still so deep.
Precious jewels to you we were, you would always admit.

Had a mastery of smiling through the hardship.
In your cup of tenacity, I will always sip.
Given a chance to choose, no other would I pick.
Like you I will never quit, until where you are I reach and together we again sit.
